Julian Assange, Wikileaks - Information & Biography

There is a revolution which is been going on in the real world & in there IT is been playing a major role in this revolution.The IT industry has been a very influential industry whatever it touches that things just gets much more amazing. Take a company and remove all the IT related things from it, the computers, emails, mobiles etc.. the company would not be able to work, communicate, etc without IT.
It's like IT is been in every field nowadays and no industry without the use of IT can work or grow so efficiently rather it cannot survive without IT. IT has been a great way of communication and that too free of cost. It broadcast all the information within minutes. You may be United States or Australia, Russia or Antarctica, India or Africa.

This use of technology is been used very efficiently by the editor-in-chief & founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange. Julian Paul Assange born on 3rd July 1971 in australia who also is an activist, publisher and editor. Julian Assange famously known for his leaks or secrets which he displays all over the world through his website Wikileaks. Specially about the government of United State Of America.


Julian Assange was a hacker in australia with his hacking name "Mendax ". After some period of time he got arrested. A special operation was launched to catch him that operation was known as "Operation Weather " by the Australian Federal Police. In September of 1991, Julian i.e. Mendax was discovered in the act of hacking into the Melbourne master terminal of Nortel, which is a Canadian telecommunications company. In response, the Australian Police tapped Assange's phoneline & even raided his Melbourne home in the same year. He was also reported to have accessed computers belonging to an Australian university, and the USAF 7th Command Group in the Pentagon and other organisations too, via a MODEM

In the court afters years he was charged with 31 counts of hacking and related crimes.He proved guilty to 25 charges of hacking, after 6 charges of it were been dropped.
Assange has married Teresa , and had a child Daniel Assange born in the year 1989. He even had a second child which was baby girl in the year 2006. After years Julian and his wife splitted and his wife with their child has changed their name.

Assange has a great knowledge about computers and has developed many softwares and has created big softwares some of which are free. He with his mother even has created a organisation for child protections. Even when he was young he even helped Victoria Police Child Exploitation Unit by providing technical advice and assisted in prosecuting persons.

If we see the life of Julian Assange he always worked for the society irrespective of whatever happend in his own life. He and his mother kept on moving from one place to another. Assange stated that he had lived in 50 different towns and attended 37 different schools. When questioned about the numbers of school he attended, he clarified that the 37 schools he has attended include those he attended for only a single day.

The biggest achievement of Julian Assange and the reason why he became so famous was due to Wikileaks.
Everybody knows about wikileaks its a site where all the secrets are been disclosed to the world directly. Wikileaks keeps on posting all the secret information specially the secret information of the governments. Wikileaks is one of the site which can be consider as the strongest site in the world. Of Course many hacking attempts are been made on the site to bring it down but no one succeeded till now.  It might be due to the site would be build by the best hackers of the world. Wikileaks is a secret organisation and the members are also been kept secret except for Julian Assange and some of them who have came in front as the spokesperson.
 Julian Assange is the well known spokesperson of whole wikileaks, all the information and data which is been published is been checked and verified and later been kept in consideration of Julian and he is the last person to decide whether the leaks should be posted on the site or no. Thus Wikileaks claim that whatever leaks or secrets which are been submitted to them by the whistleblowers or anonymous people out of which are been disclosed on the site are 100% true.

Well some important leaks were been made by Wikileaks and I do not want to tell about it. It upon you what you decide and what you feel is right or wrong. Sticking to the topic Julian Assange is a big threat to the government and the people who's secret he has got.And many people or official have tried to stop his work, put him up in prison or do whatever they can but just want him to stop all this.

With this movement of bringing the truth to the world with Wikileaks one of the US army soldier & intelligence analyst in Iraq Bradly Manning (chelsea manning) provided some important information which was very secretive. Wikileaks was in contact with chelsea since 2010. There was a lot of information which was been provided to wikileaks. Over a lot of information including videos were been sent to Wikileaks.Chelsea manning got in contact with Adrian Lamo (a former grey hat hacker) and she told everything to Lamo about the information provided to Wikileaks. But Adrian Lamo shifted his stand and contacted the US intelligence agency and told about Manning to them. Manning has been arrested after that there were facts told that chelsea was been tortured and kept under strict custody of US to remove information from manning about what are the things he did and where he provided information and all.

Bradly Manning before going to jail requested to turn out to be female and wanted the world to stop calling him Bradly and start calling him Chelsea Manning i.e. a girl. Her words were

" As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition. I also request that, starting today, you refer to me by my new name and use the feminine pronoun (except in official mail to the confinement facility). I look forward to receiving letters from supporters and having the opportunity to write back."

Chelsea manning came to be known to the world. She has a lot of supporters who request her to be free. But the law does not listen to the fans and followers. Manning was ultimately charged with 22 offenses, including aiding the enemy, the most serious charge. She was held at the Marine Corps Brig, Quantico in Virginia, from July 2010 to April 2011 under Prevention of Injury status
 She pleaded guilty in February 2013 to 10 of the charges.The trial on the remaining charges began on June 3, 2013, and on July 30 she was convicted of 17 of the original charges and amended versions of four others, but was acquitted of aiding the enemy.

Wikileaks has a lots of whistleblower who provide them all of this information all of this is kept secret but if some of this person get disclose then the worst would happen with them. Whistleblowers have very less protection and they are even killed in the movement of providing all the information.

Speaking about Julian Assange he was also been tried to get in arrest for some other reason and was termed as wanted by the Swedish Police and a European Arrest warrant had been put for assange for the Sexual Assualt Invetigation.
In between the bank account of PostFinance was also been blocked around 6th december 2010 and even Master card, Visa and bank of America blocked the transaction with Wikileaks. Wikileaks needed funds to work and with the bank accounts freeze they were under a serious pressure. Afterwards WikiLeaks took legal action against VALITOR, the Icelandic partner for Visa, and won their case in an Icelandic court, forcing Visa to begin processing payments again.
In december 2010 Assange sold his autobiography publishing rights so to increase some funds for wikileaks and himself. He was unhappy about the decision he made and consider it as he was been forced to do so as he needed funds.

Assange has been granted a protection by the state by Ecuadorian government. on 19 August 2012, Assange urged the United States to "end its witch-hunt" against WikiLeaks, and said: "Bradley Manning must be released" on several occasions. He also said, "The United States must pledge before the world that it will not pursue journalists for shining a light on the secret crimes of the powerful." He also referred to the imprisonment of Bahraini human rights activist Nabeel Rajab and three of the members of the Russian punk-rock band Pussy Riot" in saying:"There is unity in the oppression. There must be absolute unity and determination in the response."

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service have remained stationed outside the Ecuadorian embassy since Assange entered the building on 19 June 2012. They have been ordered to arrest Assange if he attempts to leave the building. Police disclosed in February 2013 that, as of 31 January 2013, the full cost of keeping officers outside the embassy was estimated at £2.9 million ($4.5 million)

Assange lives in a small office room converted into living quarters. Visitors stated that the room is equipped with a bed, telephone, sun lamp, computer with internet connection, shower, treadmill, and small kitchenette.

The Life of Julian Assange is not simple at all. He faces threats from the government and officials of the government. Julian Assange himself choose this way of living. He was a good hacker and would have lived a good life and earned well with hacking as a carrier. But he didn't. He wanted to do something which gives him pleasure in work and disclosing truths, leaking information to the world give that pleasure to him. He is alone now, his wife and childrens left him and he only does what he want to do. Wikileaks is still leaking secret information to the world. Funds are needed to do this thing and I hope if any of you would donate then it would be a nice thing you do. A person who left his normal life for doing something for the world is a person who needs to be respected.We don't know Julian Assange what he will do furthur or what are the things he will disclose but whatever he does he do it for us. He tells us about the cruelty of the government which we only choose by votes, hides many things from us. In this movement people like Chelsea Manning was been considered to support the enemy by the United states of America and only the people who tortured her, would have know what she might have to went through.

These people they won't get anything in return but they did this for us And it our duty to protect people like this who bring the truth the world(whistleblowers specially), to support them. Its upon you what to support you might feel how to support a traitor of the country but I think humanity is more greater in compare of love for the country.

The computer world or the Information Technology has been such a great medium and still it is showing its power in this revolution. Only in future we know what will happen and what does it brings further.
